On November 18, a mini focus of the FakeNews&Elders project took place at the hospitable premises of Dzień Dobry [Good morning] Cafe in Lodz, Poland. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the online behavior of elderly, the communication strategies chosen, as well as the understanding of fake news and how to deal with it on a daily basis. The reason for the discussion was the publication prepared within the framework of the project, Anatomy of Disinformation and Fake News. A guide to understanding how mass communication works.
The meeting was attended by three participants of the project’s Senior Expert Board.
In a very friendly atmosphere, the participants were eager to share their rich and valuable experiences. The topicality of the topic and its relevance to the functioning of modern societies in the age of aging were repeatedly emphasized.
